god dammit, i feel like i’ve been writing these types of posts more frequently than i’d like.  our beloved dog, leia, passed away tonight from old age. we got her back in 1998 and she’s been with us ever since. she was our families first and only dog and we’ll miss her very dearly.  it makes me sad that i couldn’t be there and that i had to hear about it through an email.

leia was a fighter. 3 years ago a groomer had almost crippled her but she got through it and lived life as though nothing had ever happened.  she’s in a better place now where she can herd all the sheep she wants.  leia, i’m going to miss you a lot.  i wish i could be there to say goodbye.  RIP leia.

so annie started collecting all these mini food toys that you get out of the bubble machines.  they’re pretty neat…here is her display

you can also go to any toy store and buy them in boxes, but the boxes are all the same so you will never know which one you’ll get.  we went to this toy store yesterday and there was a star wars one.  i was very excited to get the one that i wanted!  AT-AT INVASION

anyway, chinese new year is coming up so that will be our “winter break” which will be nice, except almost everything will be closed for the week which will kind of suck.  ok, i think we’re gonna watch saw VI now…hopefully it’s not too gory ><

…for every time someone tried to trick me into getting a perm, then i would have made $4 today!!  but seriously, they try and sell me the perm when i first go in, then while they’re washing my hair, then while they’re drying my hair and then one more time while they’re cutting my hair.  ooo! first haircuts in taiwan that we actually 100% like!

it’s really unfortunate that i have to write an entry after your passing when i should have written it when you were among us.  we were pretty close in middle school and high school but kind of lost touch after we all graduated.  it’s no one’s fault, really, we just had different paths in life and it’s something that not even the best of friends can really help.  we did see each other every so often in our college years and even though i have forgotten exactly how we came to be in the same room, i know for sure that they were good times.  you were always one of those dudes that no matter how long we didn’t see each other, it was like nothing had ever changed. we would laugh about the same inside jokes over and over again, talk about cars, girls…you know, the usual.  i wish i had better pictures of the both of us but they’re so old that i’d have to dig through my parents photo albums of past birthday parties and gatherings.  seeing as how i’m nowhere near my home, i’ll only post these 2 pictures of us.  for those who didn’t know colby, he is pictured on the right.
